Animal ID: A11-04024

Age: 4 years old
Breed: Domestic Long Hair

Like the popular cartoon character, Garfield is a big, orange love bug. He loves to receive attention from his people pals. In fact, Garfield is known to climb on staffs' shoulders as a display of his overflowing love and affection. He fairs well with other cats and lived in a community cat area at the spcaLA.

Animal ID: A11-03878
Sex: Male
Age: 4 months old
Breed: Domestic Short Hair / Siamese Mix

Cedrick is a handsome young kitten. At only 4 months of age, he has the slinky and awkward body shape of all "teenage" kittens. His beautiful Snowshoe markings indicate that he is likely a Siamese Mix. Cedrick loves his cat naps and enjoys rolling into a ball and sleeping. Like Garfield, Cedrick lives comfortably with other cats.

Animal ID: A11-04127
Sex: Female
Age: 3 years old
Breed: Polish Lowland Sheepdog

Penny is a sweet little pooch. Her hair was a bit of a mess when she first came into the shelter. Now, Penny is rocking her new hairdo with pride! With regular brushing and grooming, Penny will look good in almost any home. She is very attentive, alert, and amicable.

Animal ID: A11-01974
Sex: Male
Age: 6 years old
Breed: Pitbull

As you can see from the pictures, Desmond is a big, hunky dog.  He is a high-energy pup with a ton of muscles to back it up. Desmond would do best in a home with no children, an experienced owner, and plenty of exercise! Most importantly, Demond needs a kind family with a lot of love to spare.

"Who picked this scarf?"

Who doesn't like animals in scarves?!? ;P Apparently it is a trend -- both of the cats featured this week on the Cerritos/Artesia Patch both have scarves on, too! http://patch.com/A-jBrF

Desmond looks a bit unmanly in purple come on Cassie :D jk.

I don't decide the colors of the scarves! They were like that when I got there. Plus, everyone knows that all real men can rock purple just fine. :P !!!

On the other hand, Garfield looks like he could kick some scarv-ed kitty ass. "Tie a scarf on *this*, mofo." ;-)

Scarves are used in all mostly all shelters. I think it's a good idea. IT makes the animal more attractive and adoptaptable. Good choice Cassie.
