Powell's Sweet Shoppe

<p>Even though it's less than 10 years old, Powell's Sweet Shoppe seems more like a company that's been in business much longer than that. It has a nostalgic atmosphere, reminiscent of neighborhood candy stores from years ago. This large, colorful store is quite a treat for kids of all ages. The slogan says it all: "Powell's Sweet Shoppe is an old-time, old fashioned, old-world candy store taken from America's imagination."</p> <p>The business started in Santa Rosa, Calif. and has since gained lots of industry attention from the candy. Powell's was featured in a 2009 <i>Professional Candy Buyer </i>magazine cover story and has been covered by many local news outlets.</p> <p>Eighteen franchise stores are spread throughout California, Oregon, Idaho and Colorado, all overflowing with candy brands that originated between 1900 and 1990.</p>
