The Aquarium of the Pacific has been partnering for over two years with one of the world’s leading blue whale experts at Cascadia Research Collective on identifying individual blue whales off the coast of Long Beach and surrounding waters. Media were invited Tuesday to learn the latest findings of a long-term study, which Belmont Shore-Naples Patch's Off the Hook Fishing Report Columnist, Philip Friedman, will bring in greater detail in his next Patch column.
