What is Maker Camp?

Perhaps you've seen the ads about Maker Camp on national TV and on YouTube advertising. Perhaps you've read about it here on Patch. Some hints on finding (or making your very own) Maker Camp.

What is Maker Camp?
Maker Camp is a series of activities led remotely and at affiliate sites around the country, where the participants join in via Google+.  The camp starts on July 8th and runs for 6 weeks.

How to Participate in Maker Camp?

You can participate either by setting up your own Maker Camp site by logging in at 11:00 AM starting July 8th, or by joining in at a Maker Camp affiliate site.

To set up your own Maker Camp, invite the children around you and gather materials identified by the Maker Camp website.  Then join in on the Google+ Hangout at 11:00 AM, or view the recorded sessions and follow along.  Want to go solo? Parents may simply work with their kids, or 13+ aged youth may follow along on their own by logging into the hangout.
