Queen Mary's Chill: Christmas Photos, All Season Ice Skating, Royal Proposal Opportunity

I've been to the Queen Mary's Ice Kingdom and Chill! Experience before.  I love the ice sculptures, the freezing cold (get the parka!), the Christmas merriment.  Today I want to share with you some specific reasons you might want to visit the Queen Mary, the Chill Experience and the Ice Kingdom.

What is the Chill Experience?
Chill is an annual Queen Mary event held during the holiday season.  Key features of the Chill Experience are the Ice Kingdom, Outdoor Ice Skating, Ice Tubing and lots of Christmas Cheer.

The Ice Kingdom
Created from two million pounds of ice, the Ice Kingdom brings to you the story of The Nutcracker in color, as seen through the eyes of the ice sculptors.  You'll be walking into a freezer kept at a Chill-y 9 degrees F.  The larger than life sculptures in vibrant colors make a great backdrop for photographs, and the icy Queen Mary begs for a Titanic-like shot.

All Season Ice Skating
For those who like to ice skate, you can get an all-season ice skating pass for as little as $29.95!  With that comes all the ambiance of the open areas, holiday carolers, a visit with Santa, and lots of scenic backdrops for your holiday photos!
Note: The Skating Season Pass entitles you to unlimited skating during regular CHILL operating hours but does NOT include access to the ship, Ice Tubing, The Ice Kingdom or skate rental ($2.95). (Blackout dates: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day.).

Royal Proposal
If Santa is planning on bringing a diamond ring, you can take advantage of the Chill Proposal package ($499).  You'll get your very own "Will You Marry Me " ice sculpture inside The Ice Kingdom; two (2) CHILL tickets with VIP access to The Ice Kingdom for the couple and up to six (6) CHILL ticketed guests; a $50 Gift Certificate to Robbins Brothers; a souvenir photo and commemorative CHILL Ornament; and complimentary parking for the couple.   The package also includes a consultation and walk through with the Queen Mary's very own proposal coordinator. Note: Must reserve 7 days in advance. You may choose to include upgrades such as hotel rooms and dinner packages.

Christmas Photos
Did I mention that there are some great spots for you to take that special Christmas Photo?  We took both our Christmas and our New Years' photos there... We couldn't pass up the Year of the Horse photo!

Christmas Party?
If you're looking for a place to have that special Christmas gathering of friends or co-workers, there are several private party spaces.  Fireside Cabanas at the Ice Rink (up to 10), the Gingerbread House (up to 40 inside/outside) and the Claus Cabin (up to 40 inside/outside), Arctic Overhang (View of Chill from above), Classic Polar Park (Up to 1000).

There's more.  The Ice Rink entertainment varies throughout the event season with Tuesday Movies and a DJ spinning music.  You can ride the giant Rocking Horse (I did!), take a photo in the Giant Snowglobe and go ice tubing.

Access to the Queen Mary is included with your Ice Kingdom attraction tickets.
