Photos: Guts and Bolts

Halloween is fast approaching! Get into the mood with the Guts and Bolts show at the Cultural Alliance.

For many, the entire month of October is dedicated to Halloween.  For some of us, it starts in September!

So it is at the Cultural Alliance Guts & Bolts show which features works by many local artists.  The show is on for the entire month of September at 737 Pine Street.  The gallery is open Wednesday-Sunday.

Visitors tonight were also able to participate in the Spoken Word, an open mic event run by singer/songwriter/poet Shy But Flyy.  Zombie fans could make felt zombies and LEGO fans worked on their entry for the LEGO Robots and Zombies contest.  Great prizes thanks to the Community Outreach division of The LEGO Group.

Enjoy the photos!

The Arts Council's ALOT festival continues on Saturday from 3pm to 10pm.  When you're done at Flugtag... Come on by for an afternoon of art, films, and interactive experiences! You can be a part of art and help create an art installation piece!   Renaissance High School 235 East 8th Street, Long Beach CA 90813  Saturday, September 21st  3pm-10pm

Please help to play the WackyCapNTrish Game:
Trish Tsoiasue writes about her many interests and the people she meets.  She is currently playing an online game to get photos of the WackyCapNTrish card in as many places as she can.  If you go to the show - and even if you don't - please take a photo of a scene with the WackyCapNTrish card showing (in the photos of this post) in the foreground and post it on the WackyCapNTrish fan page!  We'll repost to our Pinterest site!  Visit to see where we've been!  You'll be amazed!
