Long Beach, CA
Chowder's mom submitted a Pepsi Refresh grant in the $50K category for a new Scout Sea Base Kitchen in Alamitos Bay.

Chowder is excited about the progress of Venture Crew 63 and Troop 63's Lakota Project in the contest, and really wants to help his fellow scouts on the East coast!

Chowder was very disappointed to see that his friends at Squalicum High School had slipped to # 11 in the 50K category in the Pepsi Refresh contest! This is a great bunch of kids and they are very concerned that they may be slipping from their 10th position place. Chowder understands that a vote for Squalicum could hurt his chances of helping his Mom get a new kitchen for the Sea Base, but Chowder knows that Patch readers can help BOTH to win!

Note: For those of you who are not familiar with Scouting, there are several ranks for elementary school cubs in 1st through 5th grade, in order of their advancing age: Tiger, Wolf, Bear and Webelos. Chowder has chosen to remain a Wolf cub as he feels it identifies with his roots.
