Scout O Rama, the annual gathering of the Long Beach scout units, is over, but Pack 25, a downtown Long Beach scout unit, is working to sell Scout O Rama coupon booklets to earn funds for camping and the family portion of summer camp dues for their camp experience at Will J Reid Scout Camp in North Long Beach. The boys and parents have selected the camp week of July 30-August 3 as their week of choice. The theme for that week is: X Marks the Spot.
Starting today, anyone purchasing a Scout O Rama coupon book from Pack 25 will be entered into a drawing to win one of two 5-packs of tickets to the Aquarium of the Pacific. Each book costs $5.00 and contains several coupons for theme parks and discounts at businesses in Long Beach.
Businesses that shop at Smart and Final are in a position to help this downtown Long Beach group at no additional cost above their regular business expenses.
How, you might ask?
Each coupon booklet contains a coupon for $5.00 off of a purchase of $35.00. This means that if you purchase a booklet for $5.00, you help a scout go to camp AND you receive a coupon for $5.00 off of your regular purchases!
Coupons are good until 7/31/2012, so businesses shopping weekly can easily use 6 or more booklets.
Additional discounts are included for the Aquarium of the Pacific, Gladstone's Long Beach, El Pollo Loco, Outback Steakhouse, LEGOLAND, Knott's Soak City, Hollywood Sports Paintball Park, Krispy Kreme, Carwood Hand Car Wash, McDonalds, Philly Steak & Sub.
