Over $100K on the line for Long Beach Causes. Vote Every November Day, by Trish Tsoi-a-Sue

If you live in Long Beach, you may have received a message in your email inbox, seen a request for vote on a local websites or your friend's Facebook page to vote for a Pepsi Refresh grant.  There are THREE of these grants which benefit Long Beach causes.  You can vote for ALL of them each day, and still have 2 votes left over for your favorite type of charity!  Ages 13 to 113 and up eligible!

1/ $50K Community grant for the Long Beach Sea Base Kitchen Remodel

2/ $50K Education grant for after-school sports for Long Beach middle schools

3/ $5K Arts and Music grant for costumes and software for the offices of Golden Sands Chorus.

My first instinct is to rally around the Long Beach Sea Base Kitchen Remodel and shhh.... don't tell anyone to vote for the others because, well... we're in competition, aren't we?  At first glance yes.  I prefer, however, to view it from the perspective of competing together for two of the 10 $50K grants and one of the 20 $5K grants. 

Yes, WE CAN ALL WIN!!!

Select Vote on each of the three Long Beach grants.  You will have to either log in via Facebook or register as a voter with a Pepsi Refresh account.

Search around for your favorite type of charity so that your remaining two votes don't go wasted.  For scout readers, there are a few good scout projects out there.
