Makersville: Have Fun Ease Into Tech DIY Party

The Maker subculture encourages learning by doing. It facilitates tech learning with open source hardware... Makerspaces facilitate Makers. You're learning, but who cares if you're having fun?

In the spirit of the holidays, the LAMakerspace is hosting DIY GIFTS on Sunday, Dec 2nd from 1 - 4pm!

This crafty, family-friendly event will feature several booths, each hosted by a local maker with a holiday-themed DIY project to share. Kids will make a project to take home at every booth!

Long Beach has a Young Maker of which I'm very proud... Meet Young Maker Ele.  I worked with her for 10 weeks in the summer to make Mr. Kibbles.  A lot of crafting... and at the end? LED eyes.

The LA Makerspace is having a Christmas Party, and it wants you to be there.

Makerspaces implement making.  There are just a handful of these in Los Angeles.  LA Makerspace - 1933 S. Broadway #1138, Los Angeles, CA (map)
