Long Beach Cooling Centers for Extreme Heat Days

When the temperatures soar, here are the locations where the city can provide you with relief.

The following information was provided to residents by Long Beach City Council Member Gerrie Schipske.

"If the sun is making it hard to get through the day, then come enjoy the cool air conditioning at several Long Beach Community Centers. The following is a list of community centers ... that will offer a cool place to stay during center hours. Some centers may be opened after hours on an emergency basis.

  * Fall Hours of Operation are from September 8th to mid October, call (562) 570-3100 for hours of operations on holidays. Note the month of September can have high temperatures.
