Tuesday's Surf Report

Will the waves cooperate for some Spring Break surfing?

Good Tuesday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Los Alamitos-Seal Beach Patch surf report.  Well, it seems like this stretch of coastline just doesn't want to come to life lately, so I suggest putting some gas in the car and heading down south, where there's some sizable surf.

The conditions are fairly early on, but don't be surprised if the wind gets on it sooner than later!  We've got a combination of some new northwest windswell and some leftover south-southwest energy in the water.

That recipe is providing this neck of the woods with some fairly weak lines, with a few fun ones, with a log or maybe a fish of some sort.  Most Seal Beach spots are stuck in that knee- to waist-high range, with the top spots pulling a few plus sets.

Taking a look at the tides: at 5:25 early this morning it pushed up to a 4.0 high and then drains out to a 0.5 low at 12:07 this afternoon.  Your best bet is probably sometime mid- to late morning, providing the wind doesn't get on it.

If you're going to grab a session, you'll want to wear no less than a 3/2 full suit and maybe the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 58 and 59 degrees.  See ya in the water!
