Luhr and Graf Win ALMS Race

The Germans drive an Aston Martin-powered Lola to victory.

Germans Lucas Luhr and Klaus Graf were the overall winners of the
Tequila Patrón American Le Mans Series race Saturday on the streets of
Long Beach.

Graf, in the Muscle Milk-Aston Martin Lola, led the field to the
checkered flag under caution in the timed, two-hour event on the
1.97-mile course. There were only two cars in the class, and Chris
Dyson and Guy Smith, in a Lola Mazda, took second overall. Both
completed 83 laps.

Third overall but winner of the LMPC class was Gunnar Jeannette and
Ricardo Gonzalez in the CORE Autosport Oreca. They completed 81 laps,
as did the top finishing teams in the GT class.

There were 14 cars in the GT field, which was led by Dirk Mueller and
Californian Joey Hand, driving BMW Team RLL. They took fifth overall,
ahead of Oliver Gavin and Jan Magnussen in a Corvette and Jaime Melo
and Toni Vilander in a Ferrari.

The winner of the GTC class was the Black Swan Racing Porsche driven
by Tim Pappas and and Jeroen Bleekemolen.
