Longtime Poly Coach Lara Resigns

Football coach Raul Lara will leave the program after 13 years as its head coach.

Raul Lara, who has worked as a football coach at Long Beach Poly High School, announced Friday that he was leaving the program.
Lara told his team during a 2 p.m. meeting, according to the Long Beach Register. 
Lara's teams won five CIF-Southern Section championships and the Moore League championship in 12 of the 13 seasons he was head coach.
