Valter Paiva Tennis Academy - 10 and Under Tennis

Valter Paiva Tennis Academy - 10 and Under Tennis Information for Parents

QuickStart Tennis is an exciting new play format for learning tennis. It is designed to bring kids into the game by utilizing specialized equipment, shorter court dimensions, and modified scoring all tailored to age and size. By modifying the court dimensions, the equipment (racquets and balls), the net height, and the scoring system, kids can start playing at a very early age. For the 5-8 year olds, the court dimensions are 36' long and 18' wide. Balls bounce lower, don’t move as fast through the air, and are easier to hit. Racquets are sized for small hands and courts are smaller and easier to cover. By using this format, the benefits are immediate and within a short time, kids are rallying, playing, and excited to keep playing. That means kids will have more fun and less frustration. They’re playing real tennis and having real fun and that’s what is most important. Valter Paiva Tennis Academy is the first in the area to implement this new system. For classes that utilize the QuickStart Tennis format, refer to the course descriptions below.
