The Great American Kids' Bike Parade

It's time for Justin Rudd and his Community Action Team's 8th Annual Great American Kids' Bike Parade.

According to the website, "the out-and-back, two-mile parade route travels east along the bike path and continues down Bay Shore Avenue to Second Street."

Riders should meet at the boat launch ramp at 1 South Granada Avenue in Belmont Shore, Long Beach. Free parking is available when you enter the beachfront parking lot from the end of Granada Avenue.

Registration opens at 9:15 a.m. Adults, teens and kids are encouraged to ride. Kids must wear helmets and be escorted by a parent or guardian during the parade. No motor driven cycles nor dogs are allowed on the beach bike path.

There will also be fun contests for all kids 12 and younger. Contests include a Patriotic Speech Contest, Watermelon Seed-Spitting Contest and Patriotic Costume Contest.

To pre-register, send your child's name and age to Justin@JustinRudd.com and then just sign the liability waiver when you arrive. You may also register near the parade's starting point beginning at 9:15 on July 4.
