Earth Day Role Model: Garden Angels Do it Again!
Garden Angels Produce Cooperative is a FREE friendly community exchange and a fitting way to 'walk the talk' in going green.
Yep, you read it correctly; in fact, we do it every month! And in fact you can join us for next month if you enjoy contributing and receiving the fruits (and veggies) of hard labor and dirty hands.
Saturday before last, our Garden Angels Exchange brought us amazingly good (and FREE) healthy food! Check this out: We had an over-abundance of onions, swiss chard, kale, grapefruit, lemons, oranges (2 varieties), sorrel, rosemary, lavender, orange mint, cilantro, oregano along with home-made items like orange and cherry cookies, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pumpkin muffins and mini-loafs, delicious granola with a coupon for a free cup of coffee from Starbucks! And to top it all off, one of our angels bottled up WORM TEA for each of the participants. Our cultivations are strong and healthy ~ I absolutely love this group!!
If you have a fruit tree or vegetable garden that is producing too much for your family to consume, the Garden Angels are a positive alignment for you ~ consider this a sign. Let us help you out by contributing the overage on an exchange day and you will receive a big bag of fresh garden goodies in return!
