Renaissance High School To Perform Wizard Of Oz

Students will perform The Wizard of Oz at the Terrace Theater Friday and Saturday.

Renaissance High School for the Arts, a Long Beach High School that remains under the radar despite high test scores, will take center stage with its fall production, The Wizard of Oz, at the Long Beach Terrace Theater Friday and Saturday.

While the performers, musicians, sound technicians, light operators, set designers, costume designers, makeup artists and videographers are all students from the high school, this is not the first time Renaissance has used the Terrace Theater for its’ performances.

“We are excited to host, yet again, another great production by the Renaissance School of the Arts,” said Dan Spellens, director of theaters and entertainment for facility manager SMG at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center, in a recent press release. "It is a pleasure to welcome the school back to Long Beach Terrace Theater.”

Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for students, $8 for children, 12 and under, and renaissance students. Tickets are now on sale through Ticketmaster.
