New Wave on 2nd Donates 15% of Sales to Rogers
Friday to Sunday, the hip clothing and shoe store that stocks black uniform pants will donate back to the middle school. A shoe artist will be customizing shoes Saturday.
Correction: The store will give 15% not 20% as previously reported, based on a phone call home from school.
Shoppers wanting to help Long Beach's Rogers Middle School can do so today through Sunday by purchasing clothes or shoes at the hip New Age Surf and Skate shop in Belmont Shore. According to an auto-call recording that went home to hundreds of parents of Rogers students Thursday night, the benefit lasts all weekend.
New Wave will give 15% of all sales this weekend, Friday through Sunday, to Belmont Shore's 6-8 grade middle school on Monrovia Avenue, and that includes Vans, Tom's and other lines of shoes.

On Saturday, a "shoe artist" will customize purchased shoes. The store is located at the corner of Second Street and Santa Ana Avenue (see map).
