U.S. students in grades 3 through 5 are welcome to come and compete in Justin Rudd's National Elementary School Spelling Bee taking place at the Bay Shore Community Congregational Church in Belmont Shore on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at 2:00pm.
Public, private and parochial students, as well as home-schooled students are all welcome. School permission or endorsement is not required.
The 2:00pm finals will be filled by the first 100 students to register and pay the registration fee. If more than 100 students register and pay, a spell-off will be held at 1:45pm to establish which spellers will advance to the 2:00pm final. Spellers must be present and signed in by 1:30pm to be eligible.
