Popular Federal Bar Opening Long Beach Location

The gastropub in North Hollywood will be taking over an old bank building on Pine Avenue next month.

The Federal Bar, a popular gastropub in the NoHo Arts District, is opening a second location in Long Beach next month, according to the Long Beach Press-Telegram.

The Federal Bar, or just "The Federal" to locals, opened in early 2011 in an old bank building that was constructed in the 1920s. Likewise, the new Long Beach Federal will keep the same general theme and will be located in the historical Security Pacific Bank building, which was built in 1925 at 102 Pine Ave.

And like the NoHo location, the new Federal will have two levels and feature live entertainment, according to the Press-Telegram.

The Federal Bar is owned by Knitting Factory Entertainment and its CEO and President is Morgan Margolis. The Knitting Factory and Margolis also opened Bow & Truss in NoHo in 2012.

"Exposed brick, warm lighting and a room with leather booths, antique lamps and incredible accents will all lend to a great Prohibition-era style atmosphere that has come to define The Federal," Margolis told the Press-Telegram.
