Gelson's Remodel of Albertson's is Underway

The chain announced Monday that it was closing it's Pasadena store and relocating its hardware to Long Beach's space on Marina Drive.

The Gelson's store in Pasadena will close this summer, and relocate some of its equipment and fixtures to the Long Beach location now boarded off for construction, it was announced today.

Officials with Los Angeles-based Arden Group Inc. said its Gelson's Markets subsidiary gave notice of termination of its Pasadena lease in accordance with the lease terms and intends to close the store on or about July 21.

Gelson's, which currently operates 17 stores in Southern California, previously announced that it has entered into a lease for a new Long Beach store, which is being remodeled from the existing but closed Albertson's supermarket.
