First thought: Shut your pie hole, I can eat a lemon meringue and help our Long Beach libraries?
Second thought: Where's the line?
The First Annual Goodbye Summer Pie-Eating Contest will commence at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Marine Stadium farmer's market, and you're $6 entry fee goes straight to the Long Beach Public Library Foundation.
Adults, I regret to inform you that it's a kids-only pie wolfing derby, because winners take home delicious The Little Tart Bakery pies. (Next year, it is on.)
