Memorial Day Trash and Parking in Long Beach are On and On
Check meters and curbs closely, and rest easy: your trash will be hauled away as usual.
Attention drivers in Long Beach: metered parking Monday will be checked unless there is signage that says "except on holidays." And residents, if Monday is your scheduled trash and recycling day, they will be collected.
The City of Long Beach stresses to pay close attention to your chosen parking meter on May 27 and other holidays.
Red, white and blue curbs are always enforced, even on holidays. Hourly time zones are enforced on an observed day if it is different from the actual holiday, according to the City of Long Beach's Environmental Services Bureau.
