Long Beach Murder Arrest $10,000 Reward Renewed

The Board of Supervisors renewed the reward for information leading to the killers of Lashown Fils of Long Beach.

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Tuesday reestablished a $10,000 reward for information leading to whoever fatally shot a 26-year-old Long Beach resident and left him lying in the street.

Supervisor Don Knabe, who recommended reinstating the reward, which had expired, called the shooting ``heinous.''

Lashown Fils was killed on Jan. 11, 2012, at 3:55 a.m. in the 200 block of West 14th Street. When officers arrived, they found him down in the street, shot in the chest. Fils was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead a few hours later. Long Beach police investigators do not believe Fils was a gang member.
