A preliminary hearing date is scheduled to be set for Artileus Richardson, who is charged with murdering a 20-year-old Long Beach man. Long Beach Courthouse.

Thursday:

A final status conference is scheduled in James Duffy's discrimination and retaliation suit against the city of Los Angeles. The brother of Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Maureen Duffy-Lewis alleges he was called ``a dumb white man'' by his Latino boss and subjected to other abuses on the job, causing him to retire early to get away from the environment.
