Harbor Plaza Closes to Traffic Next Two Weekends
A portion of the Port Roadway will close due to an ongoing waterline replacement project.
Harbor Plaza will experience full road closures from Pico Avenue to Harbor Scenic Drive from July 7-8 and again next weekend, from July 14-15.
Motorists are encouraged to use alternative routes, such as the Harbor Scenic Drive, during construction on both weekends.
Port of Long Beach Harbor Patrol officers will be stationed at both ends of Harbor Plaza to provide access to the administration building from the Pico Aveue side and to the maintenance facilities construction site from the Harbor Scenic side, according to an announcement by Port of Long Beach officials.
They are the first full closures since a construction project to replace waterline in the Harbor Plaza began in March. Previously, only lane closures were required.
