California Governor Jerry Brown will attend the CSU Board meeting Tuesday morning at the 23-campus system's headquarters in Long Beach, although it wasn't clear if he'd partake in the agendized student fee hikes proposed.
Proposed potential student fees are designed to motivate students to graduate and to not take unnecessary classes with fees that would possibly result in space for wait-listed students.
The expressed goal is to create openings for many of up to 18,000 students who've been denied admission to California State University. The new seats would open up seats in classes for current students under a plan to improve access that will be considered by the trustees at the November 13/14 board meeting.
