Exercising Our Right to Rock the Vote!

Happiness is rocking the vote with your friends and family in your own neighborhood.

This is it people, the day we have all been anticipating--for several reasons. Today we will find out who will be the POTUS for the next 4 years (as well as the FLOTUS, which is equally important in my opinion), thus ending an extremely long campaign season which has shown us that our country has many divides but we still love a good debate. This day will also mark the end of campaign calls and mailers. Hallelujah! I could have wallpapered my kitchen with all that junk mail, and I didn't look at any of it for more than 2 seconds to ascertain that it was not an invitation to a killer sale.

In celebration of our rights as U.S. citizens, and the end of this season, this morning I stood on a corner with a few other good women, and our children (I assure you they were given the choice to participate and they did not miss one second of school, so don't start with me), and we encouraged our neighbors to vote. It was exhilarating to exercise our right. We did not block traffic, we did not block the walkway, and we were more than 100 feet from a polling place.

I do not know if we changed anybody's mind about voting, but we got a lot of waves and honks, a few shakes of heads, and a wonderful feeling of satisfaction that we can do this in our country and it is all part of the process.  You, too, can experience the happiness of the freedoms we enjoy in our country and the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping to preserve those freedoms.
