Court Rules L.B. Can Prosecute Pot Dispensaries

It is not clear what that would mean to medicinal marijuana businessthe impact on any specific location.

An L.A. Superior Court judge has ruled that marijuana dispensary operators in Long Beach can be criminally prosecuted under the city's ordinance.

The Thursday ruling differs from a similar case in Los Angeles, in which a judge found that state and federal law trump the city ordinance, according to a statement by the Long City Prosecutor Office.

Written by City Prosecutor Douglas Haubert's chief of staff, Sherri Seldon, the press release is attached a pdf near the photos.
