Closures Set for Port Area Freeway Ramps

Long Beach Port announces road repair project shutdown starting September 9.

A repaving project for the Pico offramp from eastbound Ocean and the onramp to eastbound Ocean from Pico in the Port of Long Beach will require closing access between Pico Avenue and eastbound Ocean Boulevard at least three times in September.

The closures are scheduled as follows: The first is set for 9 a.m. Friday, September 9 to 6 p.m. Saturday, September 10; the second closure is tentatively set for 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday September 13; the third closure, for restriping, has not yet been scheduled.

"The Port announced this and said that it is funding the $200,000 resurfacing project.
