Congressional candidate Alan Lowenthal will get the endorsement of Bill Clinton at a rally scheduled on Tuesday at the University of California at Irvine, according to Lowenthal's campaign.
In a press release issued Saturday, the Lowenthal's campaign said Clinton's backing will go to Lowenthal as well as to Democratic congressional candidates Julia Brownley, Scott Peters, Paul Ruiz and Mark Takano.
The rally is set for 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Bren Center on the UC Irvine campus.
Lowenthal is running for the 47th congressional district seat against Republican Gary DeLong.
