Belmont Shore Residents Assn. Election Thursday

The annual vote of new board members to lead the residents group--note it is not limited to property owners --meets for balloting Thursday evening at Bay Shore Library. See the candidate names here.

Attention BSRA members and Belmont Shore residents: its that time again, when you have the opportunity to impactd your neighborhood's future.

The election of the BSRA board takes place at 6 p.m. Thursday night.

Said the BSRA reminder: "Plan now to attend this important meeting: we must have at least twenty-five voting members for a quorum! Thank you to the majority of you who have mailed in your membership dues - if you still have not sent yours, there is still time, or you may pay in person at the meeting."

The candidates are:

PRESIDENT Bobby Bluehouse
VICE PRESIDENT Terence Endersen
SECRETARY Jeff Miller
TREASURER Robert O'Connor
MEMBERS AT LARGE (7 positions)
Max Alavi
Chrisjeon Clemmer
Julie Dean
Frank Elizondo
John Forstrom
Marvin Jones

Note, there is one MEMBER AT LARGE position vacant.

"As usual," the BSRA noted, "we will hear reports from the librarian and the police commander, the parking commission and the business association. The city's recent budget meeting has restored some funding to the library, so the cuts are not as severe as they might have been. Come to the meeting to hear details!

The Bay Shore Library is at the corner of Bay shore and 2nd Street, and I will be there about 2:30 p.m.
