Belmont Pool's Latest Hours While Indoors is Closed

Lap swimming is still doable as the City of Long Beach weighs results of ongoing engineering studies after preliminary seismic report that it would be unsafe in a moderate earthquake.

While the pools inside the Belmont Plaza structure remain closed for seismic studies, the outdoor pools are available for lap swimming. And, the indoor showers and weight room are open during outdoor pool hours as well.

The Long Beach City Manager's Office earlier this week promised an update on the future of the Belmont Pool. In the meantime: 

The two outdoor pools, with water temperature at 82 and 84 degrees, are available to the public as follows:

Monday through Friday: 5:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. 

Saturdays and Sundays, the pools are open 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The schedule is subject to change based on bad weather conditions. 

Cost is $4 adults and $3 for seniors and youths.
