Woman Stabbed to Death in Long Beach

While visiting a North Long Beach apartment, the 39-year-old woman got into a dispute that turned deadly, police said.

Long Beach police sought witnesses Sunday night in the stabbing death of a woman who was visiting residents of a North Long Beach apartment.

Officers responded to the apartment in the 30 block of East Plymouth Street at 1:10 p.m. Sunday and found Tekeisha Neeley, 39, of Long Beach, stabbed in the upper torso, according to a police statement.

Long Beach Police Department spokeswoman Nancy Pratt said Neeley was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead shortly after she arrived. Detectives said Neeley apparently was involved in a dispute with unidentified people and was fatally stabbed, the statement said.
