Robbery on Pacific Coast Highway
A suspect stole goods from a local Long Beach business in District 3.
A robbery took place at a local business in the 5100 block of East Pacific Coast Highway in the early morning hours Wednesday.
The suspect entered the business, which the Long Beach police department did not name, and took items off the shelf and tried to leave without paying for them. The clerk confronted the robber, who struck the clerk before fleeing with the goods, police said.
The clerk sustained minor injuries and the investigation is ongoing, Long Beach police said.
