Woman and Three Men Shoot Two Men in Long Beach

Police said the four suspects fatally shot one of the man and wounded the other before driving off, and a motive proves elusive.

Three men and a woman stormed into a Long Beach mobile home park coach and shot two men, one of them fatally in an attack of unknown motive, police said Sunday.

The Long Beach Police Department issued a press release that detailed the double shooting, which was reported about 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the mobile home park in the 6400 block of Atlantic Avenue. Both victims were shot inside the home, fled outside, and the four suspects were seen driving away, the police statement said.

Both men suffered gunshot wounds to the upper body and were taken to a nearby hospital that was not named. One of the men died shortly after arrival, and police only identified him as being 24 and a Long Beach resident, pending the notification of his family.

The second victim, a 28-year-old Long Beach resident, suffered what police said appeared to be non-fatal injuries.

The motive for the shooting is unknown and the investigation remains ongoing.  Beyond the fact that the suspects were black, police said there was "no additional suspect information available at this time.
