Update: Lanes Reopened After 405 Crash in Long Beach
Two lanes were closed for a Sheriff's helicopter to land and ferry a patient to Long Beach Memorial.

A big rig and a car collided on the San Diego (405) Freeway in Long Beach today, critically injuring one person, authorities said. The victim was ejected when the car flipped over as a result of the collision, which occurred south of Alameda Street at 1:35 a.m., California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball said.
The northbound freeway was shut down briefly to allow a Los Angeles County sheriff's department helicopter to land and airlift the victim to Long Beach Memorial Hospital f

The California Highway Patrol says it has shut down the Number 3 and 4 lanes of the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway south of Alameda Street in Long Beach.

A tractor-trailer rig collided with another vehicle but details were not released as of 2:30 a.m. said CHP Officer Patrick Kimball.
Kimball said one person was ejected from one of the vehicles, but details were not immediately available. Patch will update later this morning.
