Homicide detectives suspect the boyfriend of the boy's babysitter assaulting the boy, causing blunt force trauma, authorities said.

A 23-year-old Norwalk man was arrested today on suspicion of beating a 2-year-old boy who is on the verge of dying in a Long Beach hospital.
