Suspect ID'd in Alleged Falcon Avenue Murder

Police said the incident allegedly occurred during a domestic violence dispute.

Long Beach police on Monday identified a suspect in an apparent "domestic violence" murder.

Kevin Adonis Forrest, 41, was arrested at the scene of the shooting, 6500 block of Falcon Avenue, reported at 7:20 p.m. Sunday, said Sgt. Aaron Eaton of the Long Beach Police Department.

The motive for the shooting "possibly domestic violence," Sgt. David Marander said earlier.

Forrest was booked for murder and is being held at Long Beach Jail in lieu of $1 million bail, Eaton said.

The name of the woman who was fatally shot was not immediately available, Eaton said.

A witness said the death was inside a home with a "For Sale" sign out front.
