Traffic Advisory: Suspect Barricaded in Long Beach

An alleged armed robbery at a 99 Cent store progresses into a residential neighborhood.

Long Beach drivers are urged by police to avoid Atlantic Avenue between South and Market streets due to a police scene with a barricaded man suspected of robbery.

An armed robbery suspect who allegedly robbed a store in the 5500 block of Atlantic Avenue has barricaded himself in a home in the nearby neighborhood , Long Beach police said Monday evening.

Long Beach Police Department Sgt. Aaron Eaton said the man is suspected of holding up a "99-cent-type" store. The holdup occurred at 3:20 p.m., according to ABC7.F
