Suspect Arrested in Belmont Shore Burglaries

Long Beach police seek additional victims of unreported burglaries.

Police Wednesday announced the arrest of a suspect in a series of Belmont Shore and Belmont Heights cat burglaries that occurred in June of last year and April of this year.

It was not explained in a press statement why the arrest was announced today when the arrest occurred three months ago, but department spokesperson Nancy Pratt said later that detectives continued the investigation until they now feel it safe to release a photo of the suspect without jeopardizing known cases.

Wednesday afternoon's announcement made clear that detectives suspect there are other burglary victims that did not report the crime.
