Supes Offer $10K Reward for Info that Leads to Mini-Mart Clerk Shooter

The Board of Supervisors today approved rewards in hopes of apprehending  a gunman being sought for critically wounding a 53-year-old convenience store clerk in Long Beach.

Supervisor Don Knabe recommended a $10,000 reward in hopes of solving the March 24 shooting of Felix Avelar-Duran, who remains in critical condition. The victim was working at a store in the 1100 block of Seventh Street when a gunman walked in and opened fire.

Anyone with information was asked to call Long Beach police Detectives Nancy Mora or Stephen Trentini at (562) 570-7464.
