UPDATED: Someone Ejected in 710 Freeway Crash

Two cars were involved in the crash near the Del Amo Boulevard exit, with on person taken to St. Mary's Medical Center with moderate injuries.

Update 11:40 p.m.:

A person involved in a crash on the northbound Long Beach Freeway was thrown from a vehicle, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported just north of Carson Street shortly before 5 p.m., blocking two far left lanes for a time, the CHP reported.

A condition report on the injured motorist -- the victim suffered moderate injuries -- was not available Saturday night.

The lanes were closed at 4:51 p.m. and opened to traffic again about 30 minutes later, said Officer Patrick Kimball of the California Highway Patrol.

Two cars were involved in the crash and one person was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center in Long Beach with moderate injuries, he said.
