A person involved in a crash on the northbound Long Beach Freeway was thrown from a vehicle, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported just north of Carson Street shortly before 5 p.m., blocking two far left lanes for a time, the CHP reported.
A condition report on the injured motorist -- the victim suffered moderate injuries -- was not available Saturday night.
he number 1 and 2 lanes of the northbound Long Beach (710) Freeway were re-opened after a traffic collision today, authorities said.
The lanes were closed at 4:51 p.m. and opened to traffic again about 30 minutes later, said Officer Patrick Kimball of the California Highway Patrol.
Two cars were involved in the crash and one person was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center in Long Beach with moderate injuries, he said.
The cause of the crash was under investigation, Kimball said.--City News Service
