Police Seek Gunmen in Long Beach Shootings of 2

Officers evacuated people from a Long Beach neighborhood after gunmen, embroiled in a neighbor dispute, shot a man and a woman.

Long Beach police today sought two gunman who shot their neighbors during a Thursday night fight that boiled over from an ongoing dispute.

Officers were sent to an address in the 1100 block of East Plymouth Street about 11:20 p.m. Thursday on a report of shots fired and found the two victims -- a 41-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man whose names police withheld. The man was more seriously wounded, with multiple bullet wounds to the body, while his girlfriend was shot in the legs, the Press-Telegram reported.

Police said both should live. Police searched an apartment in the complex but no immediate arrests were made. Neighbors told the Press-Telegram the suspects are gang members who pick fights and bully people.
