Motorcyclist in Fatal Crash Identified
Long Beach police say he was driving recklessly when crash occurred in Belmon Shore this week.
Authorities have released the name of a man killed when his 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle collided with a 2004 GMC pickup truck in Belmont Shore.
Keith Michael Thomas, 45, of Long Beach, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident at Ximeno Avenue and Livingston Drive, south of East 2nd Street, at 10:53 p.m. Wednesday, Nancy Pratt of the Long Beach Police Department said in a press release.
Pratt said that Thomas sped west on Livingston Drive and was popping wheelies when he hit the truck headed north on Ximeno Avenue. A 25-year-old Long Beach man and a 22-year-old woman in the truck's passenger seat were taken to a hospital with minor injuries, Pratt said.
