Man Survives Shooting in Long Beach Thursday Night

Details were limited about suspects in the case due to the investigation, police said.

A man was wounded in a shooting in Long Beach Thursday night, but was expected to survive his injuries, police said.

Officers were sent to the 900 block of Gaviota Avenue at 9:51 p.m. in response to a shooting call, said Lisa Massacani of the Long Beach Police Department. The victim, whose name amd age were not made available, was taken to a hospital for treatment, Massacani said.

Suspect information was not immediately available.
