Man Shot in Long Beach Sunday, Police Say

A man underwent several hours of surgery after he was shot in the upper torso in Long Beach at 11:30 a.m., a police sergeant said.

 The shooting was reported at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday in the 2100 block of Wardlow Road, said Long Beach police Sgt. Aaron Eaton. The victim has been in critical condition since Long Beach firefighters transported him to a hospital, Eaton said.
