A man was fatally shot in North Long Beach near Jordan High School today, prompting police to close a section of Artesia Boulevard.
The shooting at Artesia Boulevard at Myrtle Avenue occurred about 1:50 p.m., and the victim was declared deadly shortly afterward at a hospital, according to ABC7.
Police closed Artesia Boulevard between Myrtle and Atlantic avenues to accommodate their investigation. Local schools were not in session today.
