Man Killed, 2 Hurt in Long Beach Gang Shooting
That makes 5 men shot in about 24 hours in the same neighborhood of Long Beach.
One man was killed and two others wounded Thursday night in a gang-related Long Beach shooting around the block from the shooting of two other men the night before.
The Long Beach Police Department said officers responded around 9:15 p.m. to the 200 block of East Hill Street on a call of shots fired, and found three men suffering from gunshot wounds. The department's Nancy Pratt said one victim was pronounced dead at the scene and the other two suffered non-life-threatening injuries, Pratt said.
``The preliminary investigation determined the victims were outside near an apartment complex when approached and fired upon,'' Pratt said. The shooting was gang-related, Pratt said without elaborating.
